Alert Logistics Ltd

Too big for a pallet network.
Too small for a full trailer.
That’s our niche.

We carry part-loads from 4 to 16 pallets anywhere in the UK on our 18-tonne rigids. Tail lift on every truck, fully tracked, and we turn up when we say we will. No surcharges for the jobs other hauliers charge extra for.

What we carry

There’s a gap between pallet networks and full-load carriers. It’s where we live.

Most hauliers force you into one of two boxes: a pallet network optimised for 1 to 3 pallets, or a full trailer you can’t fill. Our 18-tonne rigids carry up to 16 pallets at competitive rates, without the surcharges that quietly eat into a pallet-network quote.

Pallet networks

1–3 pallets

Cost-effective for small drops, but surcharges on tail-lift, timed slots and odd-sized pallets stack up quickly.

Our niche

Alert Logistics

4–16 pallets

The gap nobody else fills. One rigid, one driver, no transhipment. No surcharges on tail-lift, timed, self-unload or odd-size pallets.

Get a quote for your load

Full-load carriers

26 pallets

Cheapest rate per pallet, but only if you can actually fill a 13.6m trailer. Otherwise you are paying to haul empty deck.

No surcharges. None. For anything on this list.

The things pallet networks bill extra for, we just handle. It’s part of the rate. Every quote you get from us is the price you pay.

The animal-livery fleet

You’ll see us coming.

Every cab in our yard wears a different photographic animal-face livery: wolves, leopards, bears, lions, sharks and more. It’s the most recognisable kit on the motorway. Spot one of ours on the road and you’ve just spotted Alert.

Our trucks

26 Mercedes rigids. Built for the awkward stuff.

Purpose-built for the freight that pallet networks flinch at and full-load carriers won’t touch. Tall bodies for bulky cargo, tail lifts for tricky drops, and a livery you’ll spot from a mile off.

8.3 m
Body length

Long-wheelbase rigid. Fits 16 standard pallets across the deck.

2.65 m
Body width

Wider than standard, so odd-size pallets fit without fuss.

2.7 m
Internal height

Tall body for bulky-but-light freight: packaging, insulation, polystyrene.

1.5 t
Tail lift

Fitted to every vehicle. Standard rate. No extras at the kerb.

About Alert

Big enough to cope. Small enough to care.

The name says it. ALERT: on the ball, responsive, and never short on enthusiasm. That’s how Graham ran the first truck in 1982, and it’s how the team runs 26 of them today. We treat every load like it’s our own. Collected on time, strapped down properly, and delivered in the same state it left you.

“It’s easier to buy a £100k truck than to find and keep good drivers. That’s why I reckon we’re lucky to have the team we do. Without them I’d have money in the bank and a villa in Florida.”
Graham, MD at Alert Logistics

Passed his Class 1 in 1977, a month after he was old enough to drive a truck. Bought his first Mercedes in 1982, started the company, and 40 years on you’ll still find him at work every day.
